Bentley - 2 Months

Hello all Bentley fans,

This post is for you. Or for me to look back on occasionally. Or for Bentley to read one day when she's older.

I can't believe my little baby is already 2 months old. Y'all, the time has flown by. The three days in the hospital seemed to go by so slow. The sleepless nights in the beginning made the days seem long. But now at two months, looking back, it seems like she just can't be two months old already! As I was told, and I'm sure you've heard, "the days are long but the years are short."

We have reached the stage where Bentley smiles so much. It is the cutest thing ever! Every morning when I go to pick her up out of her bassinet she gives me the biggest smile. And when her daddy plays with her cheeks she thinks it is so funny. She loves for people to interact with her. So, if you start talking and playing with her she'll smile and coo at you for the longest time. But as soon as you take your attention off of her she'll do what it takes to get it back. When she's not being held she'll start to fuss and as soon as I pick her up she starts smiling, she's a little trickster and knows it.

Bentley loves bath time if Caleb and I do it together or if her Honey does it. Its not as much fun if it's just me. She will sleep through almost every car ride even if we are just driving five minutes down the road to the grocery store. She does not like the noise the vacuum makes or the dark. If the vacuum is on she needs to be held by someone and in a room away from where the vacuuming is happening. If its nighttime and we're in the car then we have to turn the light on in the backseat for her and sometimes sit beside her and let her hold our finger. When she's being put down to sleep we leave the lamp on until she's completely asleep.

She is living up to every stereotypical first born that gets held all of the time and receives attention as soon as she starts to cry. We rock her to sleep every night and if you ask me, I'm not sure if she'll ever be moved to her own room.

I am so grateful to be Bentley's mom.

Happy Wednesday, everyone.
Love, Kaylyn
