Christmas Cards

Hi Friends!

We just received our Christmas Cards in the mail today and I am so excited to have them. This is one of those times when I wish my handwriting was really pretty so that I could address the envelopes all nice and cute. But, no #LeftHandedProblems. So hopefully the not so cute handwriting on the front will make the card inside seem even better.

We took our picture over Thanksgiving weekend, which is totally not like me to do something on time, but there's a first for everything! I have three sisters and every year Christmas card pictures are tricky. We never agree of what everyone should wear, where to take the picture, what pose we should be doing, and the list goes on and on. Don't even get me started about when it comes time to choose the picture that gets mailed out, oh my. So, this year I was the only one in charge of my little family's picture so I assumed it'd be really easy. So naturally, since I assumed it to be easy, Bentley was not cooperating and it was not easy, at all. I don't actually love the picture on the card but I felt like since it's our first Christmas as a family I just had to do it. Plus, I am the person who cares about anything sentimental and all the memories, so I did it to be able to look back at our first Christmas together.

Here's how the photos went. We were in such a pretty place, we had our coordinating outfits on and ready (then Bentley spit up on me, but I wasn't going to let that keep me down), did it right after she ate so she would be happy (and she was happy!), but she was also sleepy. Poor thing just wanted to take a nap and not take pictures (truly my child).

Caleb trying to make her happy. She went right back to fussing after.

No
we walked bounced to the other side of the barn trying to soothe her, but as soon as I stopped moving this happened.
brought along her favorite paci
We let her have the paci for a little then would quickly pull it out to try to get a picture. Her face here is the result of that.
and here.
nah.
nope.
not smiling, but not fussing..we'll take it!

Thank you people, I just wanted to sleep!

Here's to hoping next year's photo goes better!
