My Tanning Routine

Hi Friends!

Life is better with a tan, can't we all agree? Growing up I played sports year around so I was always tan and I tanned super easily. I never got sunburned and would tan just by riding with the windows down haha. But, now I am not outside nearly as much and don't hold a tan like I used to. Plus, its 2017 so who has the time to sit outside every day to tan? Not this mama.

Don't let these steps turn you away from self-tanning. It looks like a lot but I promise it's super simple. Just a few tips that I think will be most beneficial to you!

THE PREPARATION:

I pretty much plan my tans around events or trips that I have. I shave the night before I am going to tan. If you shave the day of then you will most likely have the tanning solution fill into the place the hair was and it will leave little tiny brown dots. For the tanning mousse that I use it says to leave it on for 4-6 hours. However, I either put it on in the morning then shower that night or put it on before bed and shower the next morning. And that's what I would suggest you do too!

THE APPLICATION:

Before you begin to put the tanning mouse on you'll need to put lotion on your wrists and ankles, hands and feet, knees and elbows. This will keep the tanning solution from gathering in the wrinkles and making those parts appear darker. And will keep your hands and feet from being too dark, as well! I shake the bottle then squirt 2/3 pumps onto the mitt then start applying it. I apply in sections. So I do my legs, arms, stomach, chest, and back separately. Meaning I apply the 2/3 pumps of solution to each section. Of course, you can do more or less depending on what you're wanting! Make sure to apply in circular motions and keep going over it until its well blended. A frequently asked question is if you can apply it to your face. Totally! I don't do it every time, but I have before. Just use  what is leftover on your mitt when you do your chest.

THE PRESERVATION:

This part is super easy and something you probably already do, just make sure to keep your skin moisturized! Put lotion on every day and you're pretty much good. Personally, I think my tan lasts 5-7 days. For my, much paler, little sister she says her's last 3 days. However, it is super simple to apply and once you get it down you'll be able to do it in less than 5 minutes, making it easy to apply however often as needed!

Okay, I think I've covered it all! If you have any questions feel free to reach out, I love hearing from y'all.

Love From Tally,
Kaylyn
