Sorority Recruitment - What To Wear

Hi sweet friends!

I personally did not rush (I went to a community college so no sororities, obviously), but have plenty of friends who did rush and I know how stressful it can be! My hope is that this guide will take some of that stress away and that it will also help you feel your best when the rush week comes. After all, you feel your best when you look your best. Can I get an amen?

To preface this blog post I want to mention that this day-to-day attire is based off of Florida State University's "what to wear." So, your school may have less days/more days, but probably go off of the same dress code either way!

I reached out to a few of my friends in sororities and they all agreed, dress how YOU would dress. Be yourself. Then you'll find a home that truly fits YOU!

Casual Attire Day/Days:

I am all for casual. To me that means you get to be comfy, but I also would want to look super cute. Aka my everyday mom attire. On this day you're supposed to receive a t-shirt from them so all you need to worry about it bottoms, shoes, and accessories. Below I've typed out how I would envision myself put together on these days. I mean it is the first day, I would be trying to make an impression!! Pick and choose what you want from this outline!

Day one: T-shirt front tucked into jean shorts. Scarf in hair. Bracelet stack. Converse (or other cute sneakers)
Day two: T-shirt with fabric shorts (they look more casual on than in the picture.) Fun earrings. Budha Girl bracelets. Cute sandals.

"Sundresses" Day/Days:

In my opinion, you can never be too overdressed. It might just be me, but I'd rather show up overdressed than underdressed. All of these options can be paired with the right pair of sandals to put together the perfect combination of cute and slightly above casual.

"Fancier" Day/Days:

I think this day may be one of the most nerve-racking - so keep in mind being comfortable as well as looking cute! I adore all of these options and hope you find something that catches your eye ;)

So whether you're rushing or just starting school, I wish you the BEST of luck in this new year and hope it brings you all of the happiness!

Love always,
