Vacay on 30A

Hi Friends!

This post is well overdue, but hopefully it finds you in good timing..which after all, there never is a bad time to venture to 30A! I'm going to give you all the details that will fit into one blog post, so it'll be a long one, bear with me.

WHERE TO STAY

Rosemary, Prominence, Watersound, Seaside, or Watercolor. I highly highly recommend you stay in one of these locations to really get the bang for your buck. 30A gets crowded quick during the summertime and cutting out the need to drive to a restaurant or the beach will save you so much time and frustration. Also, added bonus if your house has a golf cart! During our most recent stay our rental had an 8 seater golf cart and it was the best way to get around! (note: certain communities don't allow golf carts, like Rosemary.)

ps these are in no specific order!

Rosemary: Rosemary beach is such a cute community. Great for couple vacations, girl trips, and the whole family! Several good restaurants within the community meaning if you stayed here you could easily walk to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We have strolled through the neighborhood just to ooo and ahh at the houses alone. It's dreamy!

Prominence: Great for girls trips and family vacations! The best thing about Prominence is it's walking distance to the Hub, which is a cool outdoor hangout that has several different restaurants, bars, and shops. Most weekend nights they have live music, while during the week they are typically showing movies (we took Bentley to watch Lion King this last trip and it was really fun.) And you can usually find sports on during the day, which is really cool when college football is going on.

Watersound: Great for couples, the girls, or the whole family! If you're looking for a relaxing couples weekend I would highly recommend checking out Watersound Inn. Watersound is a private community that has private beach access, several pools, a children's playground, and a putt putt park. Caleb's parents used to own a house in here so we've stayed in the neighborhood many times! You can easily walk or bike to the Hub as it is right next door to the neighborhood.

Seaside: This is one of the busiest beaches out of them all. It has great restaurants, adorable neighborhood to explore, beach access, and community pools. Personally, I don't know that I would choose to stay in Seaside during peak seasons just because it does get so busy, as it is one of the most popular destinations. With that being said, we do always come to seaside for dinner/shopping every trip. But parking can be no fun ha.

Watercolor: Perfect for all the peeps. Caleb and I haven't stayed here yet but we're dying to! Riding bikes is one of our favorite activities while at the beach and this neighborhood is perfect for that. There are great restaurants, amazing pools (even the kid pools look so awesome to us adults haha), and private beach access. And Watercolor is an easy bike ride or walk to Seaside, which would solve your parking problem if you wanted to visit!

WHERE TO EAT

Breakfast

Black Bear, grayton beach - their coffee and pastries are literally the best! I get an iced vanilla latte and chocolate croissant every time we go. Bentley loves their bagels and cookies. Caleb says you can't go wrong with their croissant breakfast sandwich, avocado toast, or biscuits and gravy.

the perfect pig, several locations - scrumdiliumpcious is all I need to say. Everything we've gotten here has been so good. We also enjoy their lunch and dinner!

Charlie's donuts, alys beach - Their donuts are so good. Try to go early as they sell out quick and when they're gone they close.

Crackings, grayton beach - we tried crackings for the first time this past trip and it was so yummy! My eggs benedict was some of the best I've had. Bentley kid's menu donuts were seriously so amazing and Caleb would recommend the lobster gouda grits.

The Donut Hole - I've been eating at the donut hole since I can remember. A great traditional breakfast. I get chocolate chip pancakes and we usually grab donuts too haha. It's usually best to eat here on your way out as it is right off of 98 before you turn onto 30a.

Kahve & Cream - we actually usually go here for ice cream (best on 30A), but they have Lucky Goat coffee and Charlie's donuts in the morning!

Lunch/Dinner

Redfish Taco, grayton - Oh my goodness, we had this for the first time this past trip and we will be customers for life. My family of 11 people went and everything we got was amazing. Highly recommend the pork carnitas and queso!

Taco Bar, seaside - love their chips and dips!

The Hub, prominence - there are several restaurants at the hub and collectively, between Caleb and I, we've tried and loved them all. Even the dang hotdog is one of the best I've ever had ha.

Blue Mabel, blue mountain - you must go!! Y'all I don't even love steak but their steak is the best I've ever had. Seriously every single thing we got was out of this world amazing. And their bread pudding for dessert was amazing.

Great Southern, seaside - Get a mojito! I love their Grits a Ya Ya.

Seagrove Market, seagrove - casual seafood

Brunos, watersound - the best pizza! Order to go or eat outside. We always get their bbq chicken pizza.

Hurricane, grayton - My husband loves going here for oysters. The food is so good!

There are a ton of places that look amazing that we haven't tried yet but are on the list and look super promising, we just get stuck on our favorites and it's hard to branch out haha :
Fish Out Of Water
La Crema
Pescado
Wine World
Pescado

If you're wanting to walk around and shop I would suggest Rosemary, Seaside, or Watercolor. Each community has several shops you can visit.

Okay, I think that is all! If you have any questions you can email me (quotingkaylyn@gmail.com) or DM on instagram (@quotingkaylyn). Hope you have the best trip ever on 30A, it truly is such a special place!

xo, Kaylyn
